Welcome to the studio

It is here, near Paris, that the invisible takes shape: emotions become sketches, and sketches become metal, paper or stone.

Sketchbook open on pattern research

Research and sketches

Everything begins in notebooks: sketches drawn at dusk, fragments of dreams written down on waking, shapes that keep returning. A collection is born when several of these fragments start answering one another.

Hands at work on a jewel at the bench

The gestures

Sawing, filing, hammer-texturing, soldering, polishing: every piece of jewellery goes through dozens of learned, repeated gestures. This is where the material takes on the character of the piece — no two are exactly alike.

The materials

925 sterling silver, gold-plated brass, art paper and linocut ink: simple, durable materials, chosen to age well and gain patina with those who wear them.

Margot in her studio

“I am drawn to the moments when our way of seeing changes: dawn, dusk, dreams, contemplation. I try to create objects that invite you to slow down and pay attention to these experiences.”

Margot — Aphéa
