Cleaning: regular dusting with a soft microfibre cloth is all it needs. Protecting the varnish: the piece is protected by a varnish that keeps the brass from staining or tarnishing. Never use products made for brass/copper (such as Miror), household cleaners, solvents or alcohol, which would dissolve the varnish. Also avoid abrasive sponges or cloths. Handling & display: handle the figurine with clean, dry hands whenever possible (the skin's acidity can leave marks over time). Keep it indoors, away from excessive humidity, to protect the undercoat. Silver solder was used to fix the figure to its base. Over time, the solder may become more visible, revealing a small silvery halo — no cause for worry, this is entirely normal.
