Your jewel lives with you — it can take water, but must be dried thoroughly afterwards. I still recommend taking it off before showering or washing your hands. Also avoid contact with make-up, perfume and creams: these products can react with the jewel and hasten its wear. Finally, so it keeps its shine as long as possible, store your jewel in its case or pouch when you are not wearing it. To revive the shine of silver, feel free to use the old toothpaste trick: apply toothpaste to the jewel and rub gently with a soft-bristled brush or a microfibre cloth. Rinse it in clear water and dry your jewel with a polishing cloth or a very soft fabric so as not to scratch it.
